Bonhomie Beach Cottage

Ko Pu Island is a beautiful, unspoilt island paradise. Its culture, friendliness, and tranquillity give visitors an unforgettable experience. Ko Jum Island is situated in between Krabi town and Ko Lanta not far from the famous island of Ko Phi Phi in the Andaman Sea.

Bonhomie Beach Resort, family owned and run, prides itself on showing our guests from all around the world a good time, the beauty and privacy of our beach and the well kept culture and natural beauty of Ko Pu. You are bound to enjoy our home cooked western or Thai meals.

The owner's son is an architect. He carefully studied the island view and the environment before building Bonhomie Bungalows next to the beach. The cottages are in harmony with the natural forest. They were built by skilled carpenters from the northern Thailand, who used the reclaimed timber. It is our intention to keep the island green and no large trees were cut down.

Bonhomie Resort's rooms are located under the big trees making the place natural and comfortable. Blowing sea breeze keeps the rooms cool throuhout most of the year. All of our bathrooms were built of the rocks taken from the vicinity of the resort making the rooms natural and beautiful. They are also equiped with en suite facilities including freshwater shower.

Activities available at Bonhomie Beach Resort include snorkeling, scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, mountainbiking or visit traditional fishing villages. Take a boat tour around the islands to visit fisherman villages, experience their life style and see mangrove forest, the birthplace of many sea life such as fish and various kinds of crab. Traditional Thai massage on the beach is one of popular relaxation.

You can enjoy traveling to the famous Phi Phi Ley and Bamboo islands. There is only a slight difference between staying at busy Phi Phi island and Ko Pu in term of travel time and boat fare. However, you can get cheaper food and accommodation by staying at serene Ko Pu. Snorkeling is one of the exciting activities at Ko Pu. You can snorkel along the beautiful barrier reefs, one hundred meters away from Bonhomie Beach Cottage.

You can enjoy hiking the mountain 395 meters above the sea level. At the summit of the mountain, you see the birdeyes' view of the island and its surrounding area. It was told by the native people that the summit once was used as the observation deck during the World War Two. Apart from this, you can enjoy walking along the forest trail and see tropical plants and watch local birds.
