Dear Ekkehard,
Remember me, I emailed you with all these questions about a quiet
and lovely place to stay in the Andaman Islands and you recommended
Koh Ngai. Well you were right. Yes Fantasy Resort is beautiful,
but we stayed at the Koh Ngai Resort, more happening and more people.
They also had a small reef that you could swim to from the shore
and see some lovely tropical fish. The beach is nothing to write
home about. Good beachcombing though. The beach at Fantasy Resort
is long and beautiful but no coral reef off the shore. We loved
the snorkeling excursions and the one to Koh Rok was exceptional,
as good as diving. We went to Koh Kradan, Ko Ma, Ko Muuk, Ko Chueak
and each one was special. Kept us busy for the week that we were
there. My girlfriend said when she arrived that she would feel trapped
being there for one week, but one excursion to Koh Rok and she was
hooked on snorkeling and was busy finning about every day. I really
didn't feel a need to go scuba diving. We had two down days and
just read at the shore, gazed out at the beautiful scenery and the
offshore islands, snorkeled a bit, had some lovely massages with
sounds of the water rolling in and birds in the trees singing. The
food was great, and loved all the fresh fish they brought in every
day for us to pick from. Again, many thanks. Oh by the way, yes
they do have kayaks at both resorts. I heard that the ones at the
Fantasy are better. The people at the Koh Ngai resort are so friendly
and I loved their little bar and living room. Definitely a great
way to end our month vacation in Thailand.

Dear Ann,
I promissed you to report about our first visit to Thailand. Since
a few days ago we are back to Sweden after a just marvellous and
phantastic trip to Thailand. We can tell you that all arrangements
by you were perfectly. Transfer to the hotel in Chiang Mai, accomodation
in d:o, and accomodation in Koh Chang.
Our hotel in Ch.M. the Suan Doi House was a tiny but wonderfull
hotel, with a tropical garden around, the rooms were ok, not a high
standard, and this was definitly compensated by everything else,
very nice staff and a good vietnamese kitchen. We did some excursions
from Ch.M., among others a elefanttrekking and riverrafting.
Before we came to Koh Chang, we had guided tours southward from
Ch.M. we visited the acient places of Sukkothai and Lop Buri. Then
we spent a 3 days visit to the Khao Yai NP, also guided with birdwatching,
looking for wild elefants, gibbons, makakis. Most exiting and a
lot of trekking through the forest. After Khao Yai we went by car
and flight to Trat for continuing to Koh Chang.
The Cliff Beach Resort was a most charming place, the site, the
rooms, the beach and last not least the wonderful personal. We did
excursions to surrounding islands for snorkling, bathing or just
feel extremely comfortable. We want to thank you for your part of
arrangements and the kindly Thaipeople in general.
We guess that we shall return in the near future and ask for help
with the arrangements again.
Thank you so much
Dieter & Gunilla N.

To Kesorn Muibong
Thank you for your help with our booking, we had a very good trip
and enjoyed Thapwarin, Koh Ngai resort and Charlie Resort.
Koh Kradan is a beautiful island with good swimming but we were
dissapointed with Paradise resort. The rooms are not cleaned each
day, if at all, the bed linen and towels were not changed at all
during our stay. The wash basen was falling off the wall, the tap
was loose and rusty and dripping.
The staff were helpful and the food was fine. We think it compares
very badly with the other resorts we stayed at or visited and that
it's prices were too high for the standard it offers.
We hope to be back to the islands in 2008

Subject: Lipe Stay
Dear Kesorn.
Thanks for making the reservations for us on Lipe Island, everything
worked out perfect and we enjoyed our stay.
Please find some comments on related matters following: on arrival
to the pier in Pak Bara, we were offered the choice between a slow
boat and a "high speed ferry". We decided for the latter one, as
we were told that it will leave at 11:00 and will need only half
hour to Tarutao Island and another hour to Lipe. The price difference
was just 100 Baht and we hoped to have more time on the island.
The "high speed ferry" finally arrived at 12:00 in Pak Bara
and left shortly before 13:00, needed one hour to Tarutao, made
a second detour in front of Pante Malacca Bay as the captain forgot
to pick up new passengers from there and needed another 2 hours
to arrive Lipe, one hour later than the slow boat that left Pak
Bara already at 10:00. No recommendation for this boat from our
side.
The bungalows you booked for us in Leepae Resort were perfect, clean
and close to the beach. We checked out some other resorts during
our stay but could not find something better in terms of quality,
even if some resorts might have a better location.
Food was nothing special and sometimes needed long, but we made
the same experience in other resort restaurants we tried out. Be
patient, you are not missing anything meanwhile.
We rented a boat for visiting neighbouring islands. Great trip to
see Adang, Rawi and the Hin Ngam Beach, we found some beautiful
and remote beaches. Bring something to drink and eat with you and
do not forget to rent snorkelling equipment at the resort, it's
worth it.
For the way back we took the afternoon slow boat. It bypassed Tarutao
Island and sent us directly to Pak Bara Pier in only two and a half
hours. We stayed at Best House for this night and travelled on to
Malaysia the next morning.
Hope to meet you personally during our next trip
