Boat Schedules Southern Part

All boat schedules have been collected with utmost care, however boat operators sometimes change their earlier published schedules due to passenger frequency or the tides. Please help us keeping these pages up-to-date and mail us any information, you might miss or any mistakes you might find.

LANTA ISLAND - NGAI/MUUK/KRADAN ISLAND - LANTA ISLAND
 
Local Boat between Ngai and Muuk Island  
Petphilin Boat operates a daily excursion to Koh Ngai, Koh Muuk and Koh Kradan Island from November to April. It is possible to join this trip on a one way basis. The boat leaves from Saladan Pier at 08:30 and arrives to Koh Ngai at 10:00. The schedule to Koh Kradan depends on the tide, as a visit to the Emerald Cave on Koh Mook is included. The boat does not stop on Muuk Island. Reservations can be made through us, if you like to go to Koh Mook, we recommend to leave the boat on Koh Ngai and take a long-tail boat from there.

Pakmeng Pier
There is also a speed-boat connection available between Pakmeng Pier and Ngai Island. It departs at the same time as the normal vessel, but needs only 20 minutes for the 15 kilometre distance.
 

 

PAKMENG BEACH - KRADAN ISLAND - PAKMENG BEACH

 
There are no scheduled boats from Pakmeng Pier to Kradan Island. However, it is possible to rent a long-tail boat at the pier or in the village next to the pier. It is also possible to join the daily Petphilin Boat leaving at 08:30 from Saladan on Koh Lanta to reach Koh Kradan. The boat schedule depends on the tide, as a visit to the Emerald Cave on Koh Mook is included, and Koh Kradan is reached in the early afternoon.

The small harbour that is hidden in the mangrove forests is difficult to find. Easiest access will be with the local minibus, that is leaving from Thaglang Road (the street to Pakmeng Beach) in Trang Town from 08:00-17:00.
 

 

CHAO MAI VILLAGE - LIBONG ISLAND- CHAO MAI VILLAGE

 
Besides scheduled boats to Libong, local long-tail boats can be rented for the crossing at any time. The area between the mainland and Libong Island becomes very shallow during low tide and might request some waiting time for the passengers until the passage is possible.

Sukhon Island can also be reached via Ta Sae Pier, from where local long-tail boats are crossing any time they have passengers. Duration is about 15 minutes, on the island a motorbike taxi can be used.

Food Supply arrives to Bulon Leh Island
Many of the local boats are transporting passengers besides the necessary food supply for the smaller islands. Do not wonder when you have to sit quite uncomfartable among the local products from the morning fresh market in the next town.

Long-tail Boats between Adang and Lipe Islands
When the boat approaches Adang Archipelago, an armada of long-tail boats will come along to catch the passengers, because the boat is not going to any pier. You have to decide, if you board a boat to Adang or to Lipe Island for your stay. Crossing between the 2 islands is possible during daytime and takes only 5 minutes by boat.

There might be time differences between the two countries. Kindly check the departure time of the ferries carefully, as the above schedule shows arrival and departure times of Thailand.

Please be aware, that you are crossing the border between Thailand and Malaysia. You have to pass the customs and make sure that your passport is stamped when leaving or entering Thailand.
